The first order of business will be to complete the intake forms.  This paperwork serves two primary functions in that it will outline the reason for your visit and also give insight into your general health history.  You will then meet with Dr. Virusky, who will review your intake paperwork with you, discuss your area(s) of complaint and health history in more detail if necessary and perform an examination to ensure the problems you have falls within the range of conditions commonly treated with chiropractic care.

The primary goal on the first day is to make sure the problem you present with is one that Dr. Virusky, feels he can help you with.  In addition through an explanation of your evaluation you will get a simple understanding of what is going on and why you hurt. Dr. Virusky will refer you for x-rays, MRI, or other tests if appropriate or direct you to another health care provider if necessary.

Most patients unless they have had chiropractic care in the past are not treated on the first visit. Treatment for most patients will occur on the second visit after a more detailed report of the evaluation and treatment overview is given. The initial evaluation generally takes about 45 minutes.
